this is my shrine for one of my favorite shows, moral orel!

Orel's Family
Orel Puppington is an innocent 12 year old boy who is full of unconditional love. He is very naive, especially in the begining of the show, and is very easily manipulated by others. He loves going to church, making his stop motion films, and spending time with his friends. While he always tries to do the right thing, he often ends up misinterpreting the things he is told and will get into some crazy scenarios. In the beginning of the show he idolizes his father, despite the abuse, but otherwise isn't close with either of his parents.
Clay Puppington is Orel's father. He is a complex man who struggles with self hatred, a loveless marriage, and alchoholism. He spends most of his time in his study, where he drinks relentlessly to avoid his family and his feelings. He only allows Orel in his study to "teach him a lesson", which usually means beating him and giving him ill-advised lessons. Due to his childhood, he lacks the confidence and skills to talk to his children and teach them good life lessons.
Bloberta Puppington is Orel's mother and Clay's wife. She appears as a relatively normal housewife at first, but underneath this exterior she is a deeply troubled woman. She too is trapped in a loveless marriage, and a family that doesn't bring her the joy she expected. To cope, she will do any chore she can, usually cleaning obsessively. She pays little attention to her children, usually not noticing when Orel gets himself into trouble. She yearns for validation due to her childhood, and has even tried to find love outside of her marriage. She had an affair which lead to her second child, and made the strain on her marriage even worse.
Shapey is Orel's younger brother, who was conceived when Bloberta had an affair with Coach Stopframe. He is neglected by both his parents, causing him to be emotionally stunted. He is still being breastfed by Bloberta at 7 years old, which is the only real connection he has with either parents. Most of his appearances are with his family, usually screaming for his mother's attention or milk.
