Annie on my Mind
Nancy Garden
This was one of my first lesbian books I ever read! A lot of my reading in high school was exclusively lesbian books, but this one will always be my favorite. It's a very sweet, slice of life type story about two girls who are navigating their feelings for each other even when others tell them they are wrong.

A Lite Too Brite
Samuel Miller
This is one of my favorite books of all times! So many mysteries intertwined together, I read this book in one sitting the first time. The writing style is beautiful, and makes me feel like I am inside the main character's mind.

Flowers in the Attic
V.C. Andrews
I've been reading this series for about a year now, but the original book is by far my favorite one! It has some unsettling topics, and I wouldn't reccomend this book to anyone under 18 but it's a page turner! So many mysteries, and plot twists around every corner. After reading the first book I quickly ordered more books from the series!

I'm Glad my Mom Died
Jennette McCurdy
I bought this book the day it came out, and read it in one sitting! It's an absolute amazing read, especially if you grew up watching any show she was on. I really love hearing her insights, and as someone who struggles with an ED a lot of what she wrote hit close to home for me. I do not recommend this book to anyone who may be triggered by mentions of eating disorders or emotional abuse; however, the book was incredible and I've read it several times already.

The Maid
Nita Prose
I got this book in one of those "blind date with a book" things, and I ended up really liking it! It's about a woman who works as a maid at a hotel, and she takes it upon herself to solve a murder! She ends up learning way more than she bargained for, and learns a bit about herself along the way.

Silhouette of a Sparrow
Molly Beth Griffin
This is another one of my favorite lesbian books. I haven't read it in a while, but the writing style has always stuck with me. It's a period piece, taking place after WW1. I always find it so interesting to read queer romances that take place in a time when many were not out as LGBT, and the author does a wonderful job portraying the emotions of the main character as she navigates through her feelings.

When Sophie Gets Angry
Molly Bang
This was one of my favorite childhood books. The art style is incredibly nostalgic for me, and it's a great book about regulating your emotions, even when you get really really angry! I highly suggest at least looking up the art in this book, it's so unique and beautiful.
